Struggle is Inevitable, Negativity is NOT.

Not many things in life are guaranteed, but there is one thing that is inevitable in the lives of all people. Struggle.

>> struggle: verb, to strive to achieve or attain something in the face of difficulty or resistance.

Difficult situations bring out the strength and character of a person. They can make you or break you depending on your perspective. Having a negative outlook on hardships kills any chance of learning from the experience; but being positive in hard situations allows you to be open to growth.

If you go about your life always focusing on the bad things, you will not learn from your failures, mistakes, and hardships. But if you go about life seeking the good in even what seems like the worst situation, you will learn and thrive from those experiences. Everything happens for a reason and you have to a choice to either learn from it or let it break you.

“Where there is no struggle, there is absolutely no progress.” – Eric Thomas

I am challenging you to go out and see the good in no matter what life throws at you. Overcome your hardships, don’t let them overtake you.

Take That Leap of Faith

Throughout your life, you are exposed to a variety of new ideas, experiences, problems, and possibilities. Many times we see new things as being scary because of the fear of failure, so we do not pursue them. By not pursuing the new things you encounter, you could be potentially passing up one of your greatest talents or opportunities.

“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

For me, starting a blog was one of those new possibilities. Am I terrified to start it and fail? Absolutely. But am I going to let that fear stop me from pursuing it? Not a chance. Taking this leap of faith could allow me to connect with people, spread my thoughts and ideas, encourage others, and accomplish one of my goals.

This past week, I wrote “I will start a blog by April of 2020” on sticky note and put it on my computer so I would see it everyday. By writing down my goal, it made me want to accomplish it even more. That next day, I took action.

Now, here I am trying something new & writing my first ever blog post.

My advice for you is to take that leap of faith: try out that new idea, find a solution to that problem and open up a world of possibilities, and make goals. Make goals & don’t let fear get in the way because you never know what the outcome might be.
